Listing Your Business (Creating an Entry)

Orthodox Biz is a unique site. The heart of Orthodox Biz is a Business Directory, but the blogging and articles are what drive traffic to keep people coming by and looking at the entries/ads. There are three kinds of directory entries, each with unique information. We will cover those soon, but first, let us recap how you can get to the add entry option.

There are three ways to get to the Add Entry form:

1) Go to your profile. The first tab called Directory Entries has a link to the Add Entry form.

2) Go to the Member Menu. Use the link on the Member Menu called Add Entry to Directory.

These two options have been covered in the previous section on navigation.

3) Go to any directory page. Click the Add Entry link. See below:

See the Add Entry link above right next to Search? These three options: All Categories, Search, and Add Entry are on all pages of the directory.

Regardless of how you get there, what you will see is a form to use to enter an entry in the Orthodox Biz Directory.

The screen prints below show the entry forms for the three types of members.

Orthodox Ministry Professional Members -

This entry type is for Orthodox Choir directors, counselors, etc. that are seeking employment in an Orthodox setting such as a parish or ministry. Due to the special nature of this entry, the fields available for entry and the display are very specific. The form looks as shown below.

Basic Members -

Free members have a basic entry in the Orthodox Biz Directory. This entry does not include all the advanced features of the paid membership, but does allow you to get your basic information out.

Paid Members -

Paid members have the most options on their entries. Members can list up to two Websites, include company logo, photo galleries, videos, custom backgrounds, banners, and unlimited text.

The entry forms have instructions on the tabs, so just follow the instructions as they are presented.

The text area boxes on the Entry Forms do allow for HTML. Feel free to insert more images (for example) using HTML commands like:

Also feel free to use bold, italics, header classes, etc. Feel free to code your entry in Dreamweaer or some other HTML editor and then paste it in. You can also paste in from Microsoft Word.
