Bev. Cooke, whose newest book is entitled Royal Monastic: Princess Ileana of Romania, talks with Fr. Chris about Princess Ileana's life, struggles and witness. While remaining a faithful member of the Orthodox Church, she weathered turbulent times, raised six children, and, eventually, became the abbess of an Orthodox convent in the United States. Also, Fr. Chris speaks about the Dormition of the Theotokos.

Fr. Chris talks with Rod Dreher of the Dallas Morning News about the life and recent death of Orthodox literary giant Alexander Solzhenitsyn. As Rod points out, this event closes an entire chapter of human history. Solzhenitsyn was the first to expose the Gulag and the other crimes of the Soviet Union. But he did more, as Solzhenitsyn spoke to the world in a voice that resonated with the prophetic witness of the Orthodox Church.
