Welcome to my blog. Please send me your questions and comments.

Seizing the day and using our God-given talents: This is why my sister and I chose MLM (multilevel marketing) as the basic structure for our business.

HELPING OTHERS BY BEING TRUE TO OURSELVES

At age nine, I taught my three-year-old sister Angel how to read.

Our parents were great in sales but steered us into stable but stressful professional positions with strict hours, little opportunity for advancement, few financial incentives, and a forest of paperwork resulting from governmental rules and regulations. In order to meet the demands of our careers in education and social work, we had been putting our unfulfilled dreams and talents under a bushel. Nevertheless, we were able to retire early from these jobs and to collect very limited pensions that paid our bills but not much more.

Why did we leave the comfort of retirement?

We believe we are expected to freely share our God-given talents with everyone we meet. No longer encumbered by the restrictions of our former careers, we are able to express our true selves (Angel the musician and Di the herbalist) and realize our dreams by seizing the day and letting our light shine. We can balance work, play and dreams.

How and why did we become involved in network marketing?
Although Angel and I had dabbled in a few other networking companies in the past, it was my chiropractor who introduced us to therapeutic grade essential oils and the grass roots, seed to seal, MLM company that grows and distills them. We were so excited by the essential oils, so in love with their fragrances and their benefits, and so thrilled by the limitless financial opportunity and freedom of MLM that we decided to use essential oils as the basis of our MLM business to which we brought our love of people and respect for the environment. To us, multilevel, network or relationship marketing is a direct way to help people unleash, improve and share their talents and to have fun in the process. In MLM, founded on trust and cooperation, personal efforts at all levels of the business organization profit both giver and receiver. An anonymous quote on a business card phrased it this way: “The fragrance of the rose lingers on the hand of the giver.”

What tips do we have for entrepreneurs?

Follow your heart.

Dream big.

Do not fear, only believe.

Let your light shine.

...and What Do YOU think?

Until next time, many Blessings,

Di

What Dianne said was very accurate and heartfelt! She did teach me to read and guided me through life in countless ways! I don't know what I would have done without her. She, along with our parents, always encouraged me to follow my dreams!
I wrote a song called "Be an Angel" that was inspired by the foster and adoptive parents I met as a social worker, but also by my parents, aunts and uncles, Godparents and Dianne and her husband, Gene!
Last but not least, Di introduced me to Young Living Essential Oils and is my sponsor for my business! The blend I fell in love with immediately was Christmas Spirit, and it remains my favorite to this day! It contains cinnamon, orange and spruce oils and is just heavenly. I use it all year and all I have to do is put a few drops of the blend in a spray bottle and it instantly freshens the air and makes me think of Christmas and home and all good things! The same can be said for frankincense oil in that it transports me to our beautiful churches in my mind, no matter where I am physically!
