The CLRC is offering a special Latin class for children ~ ages 7-10. Children and their parents take this class together. The class meets each week for an hour-long lesson filled with exercises, games, and songs. Specific homework suggestions are given after each class for ongoing practice during the week. Homework is completed at the discretion of the parents dependent upon the needs of their children. Some may need or want more practice, some less. Testing is available for those who wish it but is not a required part of the course. CLRC Latin instructor, Anne Van Fossen, has taught Latin to her own children and to private school students as young as Kindergarten. Young children love ancient languages! Many high school students are not interested in Greek and Latin -- either because they think it is useless or too difficult (they've already been told that they're not smart enough to do certain things). Young children know they can do anything and are interested in everything!
