Joomla Websites small business non profitCorFun, a leading provider of Joomla-powered Websites has announced a new division focused on small and micro-enterprises. The new division, Visitme.biz, will provide pre-packaged solutions for companies and non-profits which need a lot of online power, but at a price they can afford.

CorFun CIO Glen Chancy explained that companies need a fiexible platform so they can start reasonably and grow their online presences over time. "A local church or a small business comes to us and needs to go online," Chancy explained, "Often they have either never had a Web presence, or they had one that wasn't very effective. The key for us is offering a range of projects that they can afford to step into and with a timeframe that gets them positive return on their investment in a hurry."

The key to keeping Web projects affordable, Chancy explains, is to keep the planning stage manageable. "There are thousands of templates for Joomla. And each one can be infinitely customized. What we found in many custom projects is that a small business or Christian ministry would get hung up on color schemes, and drive up project costs out of reach. To keep projects moving, we picked a variety of templates that form the basis of a more restricted offering. The business owner or minister can choose from that more narrow range, and then move more rapidly towards implementation."

These templates range from dramatic, artistic full transparencies to more button-down business approaches. In addition to a range of templates, CorFun has put together some packages of features that meet the requirements of most small businesses and ministries. Chancy explains, "The Basic Package costs only $397.00, and includes: all the basic pages a company needs, the ability to create more pages as needed, a nice template, and an Events Listing page so you can easily publish events like speakers, meetings, sales, road shows, you name it! The pages move up from there, each one adding more pages and more capabilities. The most expensive, adding in a shopping cart, is still under a $1,000.00!"

After years of developing for the small and micro-enterprise market, CorFun has found that getting a client onto a scaleable system like Joomla is the most important step in developing a robust Web presence. "What matters is getting businesses onto Joomla," explains Chancy, "They can start small, just using the basics of the system. That way they can become their own Webmasters and get experience publishing to the Web. Then, as they become more comfortable with the Web as a business and ministry channel, we can add more and more components to Joomla as-needed to extend the capabilities of the system."

Joomla is an award-winning Content Management System that allows non-technical people to publish articles on the Web. It is also a framework which can run a shopping cart, a blog, a business directory, and much, much more. "Start with the functionality you need," Chancy says, "And add in the rest later. Projects that get into trouble are projects where businesses get capabilities they don't know how to use. Don't pay for it, unless you plan to use it in the next quarter. Otherwise, get it when you need it!"

In addition to businesses and ministries, the Visitme.biz packages are ideal for authors, books, bands, or individual products. "The average Visitme.biz project goes up in less than a week. You pick a package, a template, and a hosting option, and then we take the ball and run with it," Chancy explains, "This is the fastest, most economical way to market that we can think of."
