Di: Christos Anesti! Angel: Alithos Anesti! Di: Alithos O Kyrios! Which of our many beautiful oils would be appropriate for us to feature, honoring the greatest Feast Day of the year in the Orthodox Christian Church – Holy Pascha? A: Well, sister, the name of our therapeutic-grade essential oil blend, Magnify Your Purpose, enters my mind every time I hear EIKONA sing the ancient hymn: Magnify my soul, Him who suffered willingly and arose from the grave on the third day. Shine, shine, O New Jerusalem, for the glory of the Lord has arisen upon thee! Dance now and be glad, O Zion… Di: Yes! And don’t you think we should let people know about EIKONA, the three sisters with angelic voices whose exquisite Pascha and O Gladsome Light CDs both include this hymn? (More information about the heavenly trio can be found at www.eikona.com). A: Yes! They have helped me so much in serving my church through music chanted in English. I now understand what the Greek words mean! Di: Remember when Mom used to say “If your homework was a song, you’d know it by heart”? A: (Laughs) Yes, and she was right! But listen to what essential oils are in Magnify Your Purpose (at 10% off until the end of April): sandalwood, nutmeg, ginger, rosewood, patchouli, sage and cinnamon bark. It sounds so woodsy and spicy, I’ll have to order some! Di: Speaking of woodsy, there’s an icon on www.goarch.org for Earth Day, commemorating God’s creation, our earth! Let’s also ponder the words of our “green” Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew: Preserving the environment involves the obligation to respect this divine gift and not to destroy it, using it responsibly and reasonably so that it may fulfill its purpose of serving humankind. A: So, light a pure beeswax candle for God’s green earth! And use essential oils, pure plant essences, oil to make man’s face shine… Psalm 103(104). Indeed, essential oils can help enhance our food and wine, magnify our purpose, and gladden the New Jerusalem of our hearts! Di: Christ is Risen! A: Truly He is Risen! Di: Truly He is Lord! Please visit us at www.youngliving.org/angelbrock (287231) or www.youngliving.org/eleos (6422), and remember, we love hearing from you, so send us a note in the comment box below and request an essential oil sample. One sniff is worth a thousand words. A blessed Paschal season to all!
