ELEOS BLOG (10): Using Essential Oils Straight from the Bottle PDF Print E-mail

Angel Hi Di, this is so awesome to get together for our blog. Several people have emailed to ask us how to use Clarity and all our other Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils. We need some clarity on this issue (laugh). To start, the easiest way is to inhale them.
Di Right, sister, just open the bottle, take a deep breath, and take in the aroma of the oil.

Angel Ah, wonderful.
Lord, how manifold are your works. In wisdom you have made them all: the earth is full of your riches. (Psalm 103 [104]:24)
Di After that, you may invert the open bottle over the palm of your hand, wait for the first drop to come out, and then just as gently turn it right side up again. You might actually get two drops that way, but don’t worry.
Angel Okay, then rub your palms together in a clockwise motion, cup them over your nose and breathe. Ah……... What are some of the other ways?
Di You may put a drop of oil on a hanky, tissue or cotton ball to carry with you or to place somewhere … like a car vent, to keep you refreshed and alert while driving.
Angel Take care not to get the oils in your eyes or on sensitive areas, but if this does happen, use a tiny bit of olive oil to neutralize the effect.
Di Just think, one or two drops of peppermint, spearmint, or Roman chamomile oil are all you need to add to freshly boiled water for an instant pot of tea. You may also make a little spa by putting a towel over your head as you inhale the vapors. After the tea cools down, you may use it as a gargle.
Angel I like guessing which oil my husband Mike is using on the soles of his feet.
Di The list goes on. Kids love them on their ticklish feet and sore muscles too.
Angel Dabbing oils on my temples and neck clears me up and eases headaches, and I’ve even used a drop of peppermint, orange, or Thieves in a spoonful of honey or blue agave nectar to soothe a raw, scratchy throat.
Di My husband Gene diffuses essential oils every night in the bedroom, applies the roll-on Breathe Again blend, and wakes up with a clear head, whereas he used to use an inhaler for several hours every morning before his dizziness went away. Thankfully I need not leave the room or hide my head under the quilt now to avoid smelling the ghastly petroleum jelly based ointment he used to put on his chest and upper lip,
Angel Both of you sleep and breathe better…true marital bliss. I love the wonderful new roll-on blends too, especially Valor and Deep Relief, for their emotional and physical benefits.
Di So briefly, this is how we enhance our daily lives through the blessings of essential oils from God’s garden.
“I want creation to penetrate you with so much admiration that wherever you go, the least plant may bring you the clear remembrance of the Creator.” (Saint Basil the Great)
Angel Amen to that.

Please respond to our blog by sending us a comment or two in the boxes below. We’d love to hear from you.
Blessings,
Di and Angel

Great Tutorial from a Great Source!
written by Sunny P Cox, September 22, 2009
It isn't often one comes across a blog with shared authorship, and one written by a pair of sisters can be as fun as it is informative. Let's face it, most weblogs are typically "I, Me, Myself, and My Ideas." It is extremely refreshing to find a diamond in the rough. This blog has changed my life in so many ways - it's nice that I can access the archived posts in my rare moments of spare time.

Thank you, Ladies. Don't know what I'd do without you, the oils, or the "golden chain" that led me here!
