Paradise Harp Music Now Offers Annual Subscription

On June 1, 2008, Paradise Harp Music kicked off its subscription membership drive. Paradise Harp Music is a website for people who play the harp. It was developed by Maryjean Zarick, a professional harpist well known for her music arrangements. Through Paradise Harp Music, Maryjean has been publishing and selling books and sheet music for the harp since 1987. Now, thanks to software and technical support provided by CorFun, Paradise Harp Music is able to offer sheet music downloads. Customers can download and print harp arrangements instantly, eliminating the cost and time of shipping.

Whereas other websites sell sheet music downloads at a price per download, Paradise Harp Music is innovative in offering a flat fee in the form of an annual membership. For only $19 per year, members have unlimited access to not only the sheet music downloads, but also video harp lessons and a music theory pop-up tutor.

Maryjean sees another advantage to the download format: “Downloads allow me to offer new arrangements more frequently.” Printed music and books require a larger budget, reducing new titles to one or two per year. With downloads, Maryjean plans to offer several new titles each month.

The music may be Maryjean’s, but the subscription concept is the brainchild of Glen Chancy, President of CorFun, a website development company. “There is absolutely no way I could have done this without CorFun.” says the harpist who had two previously unsuccessful attempts at website building. “I had just about given up on taking my business to the web before CorFun came along. Glen makes things happen at an affordable price!”
