Angelic Harp Music on "The Ark"

Imagine sitting at your computer and suddenly hearing the heavenly sound of a harp. This is possible if you are listening to the Orthodox Christian Network's internet radio station, "The Ark." The station has recently added to it's playlist a pre-release track from Maryjean Zarick's upcoming album, Songs Of Angels, a collection of liturgical cherubic hymns. As a harpist, Maryjean has arranged the music primarily for harp, although she is joined by other Orthodox musicians playing various other string and woodwind instruments.

"It has been sheer joy working on this project," says Maryjean, who is recording and producing the album in Orlando, Florida. "I appreciate the air play that the pre-release track is receiving. It makes me anxious to finish the project and make it available to everyone."

Maryjean began studying the harp 30 years ago while working on her Bachelor of Music degree. She has played professionally in restaurants and on cruise ships, but is best known in harp circles for her innovative arrangements. Her printed sheet music is available at www.ParadiseHarpMusic.com. Maryjean is a member of St. Stephen, OCA in Longwood, Florida.
